நாகமேந்து மேருவெற்பை நாகமேந்து மண்ணினை
நாகமேந்து மாகமாக மாகமேந்து வார்புனல்
மாகமேந்து மங்குல்தீயொர் வாயுவைந் தமைந்துகாத்து
ஏகமேந்தி நின்றநீர்மை நின்கணேயி யன்றதே

நாகம் ஏந்து மேரு வெற்பை நாகம் ஏந்து மண்ணினை
நாகம் ஏந்தும்  ஆகம் ஆகி மாகம் ஏந்தும் வார்ப்புனல்
மாகம் ஏந்தும் அல்குல் தீ ஓர் வாயு ஐந்தும் அமைந்து காத்து
ஏகம் ஏந்தி நின்ற நீர்மை நின்கணே இயன்றதே.


Transliteration:
nAgamEnthum mEruveRppai nAgamEnthum maNNinai
nAgamEnthum mAgamAgi mAgamEndhum vArppunal
mAgamEndhum algul theeyOr vAyuvainthumainthu kAththu
EgamEnthi nindra nIrmay inkaNE iyandrathE

Translation:
The mountain that holds the Heavens, the Tuskers that hold the Earth

the Fountain of Happiness, the Azure that holds the Rivers
the Firmament that holds the clouds, the fire and the winds – all these thou hold
in abandonment – Such grace belongs to Thou alone!
